Winter Maintenance at Arlesey

February is perhaps not the best time of year to be diving on a Sunday morning, but it is the perfect time for some much-needed maintenance at the site. Volunteers from the Sailing Club and Diving Clubs turn up to help with a variety of jobs to keep the place functional. Mid Herts do their bit of course as we value the use of the site for Sunday morning and Bank Holiday diving sessions.

Volunteers simply turn up armed with various loppers and hedge trimmers as well as protective clothing - as the scrub seems to be mostly thorny hawthorne and brambles.

Our efforts are rewarded by a combination of shared sense of achievement and some excellent nosh provided by the Sailing Club!
